The Blanket Capote
The blanket Capote goes WAY back prior to the Fur Trade era and is as effective today as it was then. Typically built out of a point blanket by Hudson's Bay, Trapper, Witney, and so forth. One 4 point blanket will make a Capote. The Capote does not have any buttons or zippers, they are fastened overlapped in the front with a belt, Doubling the insulation on your front. Capotes have been seen with blanket belts, leather belts or decorative sash.
When it comes to design, the Capote is a true winner. Very easy to put on and take off. The warmth, comfort, and freedom of movement can't be beat.
The choice of colors and designs of Point blankets are endless. We can use your point blanket or I have a pretty good supply of them in various colors. Prices are labor + the cost of the blanket.
