The Bushcrafter ANORAK
The "Holy Grail" of Men's Outdoor Wear
Shown with Optional Zipper Guard and fleece lined hood.
The wool Anorak sets the standard for utilitarian cold weather garments. An Anorak is a piece of clothing that is actually a "Mobile Environment." It is designed to be the outermost garment worn. It regulates your body temperature, is breathable, moisture wicking, very low maintenance, and rugged enough to withstand rough continuous use.
As for sizing, your Anorak should be big enough to go over any jacket, sweater, or hoodie you own. It should be big enough to get on and off easily which is a common problem for those who insist on a more form fitted Anorak. You want to layer under your Anorak, not on top of it. You will find the wool Anorak is quite warm all by itself with nothing more than a long sleeved Merino Wool T-Shirt underneath it. It is the most useful pieces of performance outerwear a person could own.

My Anorak Pattern, that I call "Finalized," has been years in the making. I have built more Anorak designs than you can shake a stick at. Coupled with hundreds of hours in R&D and field testing by incorporating different ideas and designs has developed my finalized Anorak. The arm movement and actual "Natural Useability" is unmatched. This Anorak is not like everyone else's and different than some, but I can tell you this, my Anoraks are warm, comfortable and they just work.
The base model Anorak uses USGI Wool, which is 80 - 100% wool depending on the source. With custom Anoraks, the sky is the limit when it comes to material or custom features.
